Prototype A, our 60 day experiment in building a new American tract home with Tamarack Homes in Ridgefield, Washington, was completed in July 2010. The collaboration sought to provide a new model of tract house, a new American bungalow. The metrics were simple: 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms minimum, two car garage mandatory. The house needed to meet or exceed the economics of the competition. This first iteration of Prototype A has since sold.
