Prototype A Featured In Residential Architect

works partnership architecture shares with you an article in Residential Architect Magazine featuring the Prototype A Tract House. Please visit  http://mydigimag.rrd.com/publication/?i=50050 to view the digital article on pages 14 – 15.

Prototype A, our 60 day experiment in building a new American tract home with Tamarack Homes in Ridgefield, Washington, was completed in July 2010. The collaboration sought to provide a new model of tract house, a new American bungalow. The metrics were simple: 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms minimum, two car garage mandatory.  The house needed to meet or exceed the economics of the competition. This first iteration of Prototype A has since sold.

Anonymous asked: Very interesting concept! I commend you on the simplicity of design. I love the upstairs deck. Unless I'm missing something, I don't see a picture of the bedrooms or baths. Please consider posting pictures of these rooms.

Thank you for your interest! You can see more photos on the builder’s website http://tamarackcorp.com/ from when the home was staged for the Parade of Homes. Many more shots of the home overall as well as bedrooms and bathrooms. What you don’t get a sense of is the lofty ceiling in the master bedroom that is just like in the main living space.
